stacked villa
Mananthavady, Wayanad.
The project is developed as a stacked villa concept, derived directly from the natural site levels. Since the site rises approximately 3 meters above the service road, the design approach is based on vertical stacking of functional spaces rather than a single flat mass. Each level is planned according to use and accessibility, allowing functions to flow naturally as one moves up through the site. This level-based planning reduces extensive cut and fill while responding efficiently to the terrain. The stacked configuration also supports natural ventilation and daylight, with openings aligned to the sun path and prevailing wind direction. The building form is divided into connected volumes, ensuring clear circulation and strong spatial continuity between levels. Overall, the project uses a functional stacking strategy as a direct architectural response to the site conditions, resulting in a practical, climate-responsive, and terrain-adaptive villa design suited to Mananthavady, Wayanad. Kozhikode
Aura residence emerges from a sensitive understanding of the site’s natural slope and eastern orientation. The approximately four-meter level difference toward the rear is strategically used to structure the planning into three layers—public at the front, semi-private at the intermediate level, and private spaces positioned deeper within the site. This zoning ensures clarity of movement and a gradual transition of privacy. The east-facing frontage allows the design to harness soft daylight and prevailing breezes, shaping both interior and exterior spaces for effective ventilation and thermal comfort. Rooted in an Arabic architectural theme, the project emphasizes spatial calm, controlled light, and harmonious proportions, creating a distinct aura that aligns with the client’s vision. The architecture responds intuitively to the site, where form, climate, and concept come together as a unified whole. In association with Prakriti Architects

Little India Public School is designed for students from pre-primary to Grade 10. The campus moves beyond the idea of four-walled classrooms by prioritizing cross ventilation and open courtyards between every class, across all levels of the campus. The building is arranged in stacked volumes while maintaining openness and connection between spaces. These open spaces create an environment to think, teach, and learn. A large playground at the front, accessible from every corner of the campus, creates a lively and comfortable learning environment for young minds. In association with Prakriti Architects .
